BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Nine people have been indicted on drug trafficking and money laundering charges after a year-long investigation.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the group operated a criminal network— partially from prison— distributing meth, heroin and fentanyl to multiple states, including North Dakota, and laundering the proceeds.

If convicted, the group faces a maximum of life in prison.
