A Huntsville man pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in connection with a sextortion scheme where a Michigan teenager committed suicide.
Dinsimore Robinson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering.
He admitted laundering money as part of the Nigerian-based scheme where the extortionists got young boys and men to create nude images, then threatened to expose them if they didn’t pay.
A 17-year-old in Michigan committed suicide in 2022 after being threatened with exposure.
Robinson will be sentenced April 24 in federal court in Michigan.
